It's a Microcosm, Somebody Pray for Us

*

Oh, I can scarce believe my ears,

And what is being said, I fear.

Our country's torn, so weak and worn,

Worshipping a man, so greatly adorned.

It's like a drug, a toxic glee,

73 million lost, can't you see?

But this is not the first we've been,

A microcosm of history, repeating again.

Folks don't know the half of it,

If only we could see a bit,

Back in time, to understand,

And make the changes, take a stand.

Oh, how I'd give it all away,

For just one ride, one chance to say,

"I'll save the world, I'll make it right,"

With eyes on the past, to end this fright.

And you got those Congressmen turning the House of Representatives into the House of Evilness

In the halls of power, where laws are made,

The House of Representatives, once esteemed, now degraded.

For some Congressmen have turned from the light,

Their actions now stained, filling it with evil's might.

Once a place of dignity, where democracy was wrought,

Now twisted by greed, its purpose has been sought.

The halls that echoed with the voice of the people's choice,

Now resonate with lies, concealing corruption's voice.

Oh how the mighty have fallen, what a sight to see,

The House of Representatives, now the House of Evilness, oh so sadly.

No longer a bastion of truth, no longer a beacon of hope,

It's a place where integrity is lost, and lies and deceit they cope.

Kevin McCarthy, Marjorie Taylor Green, Matt Gates, George Santos, Jim Jordan, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Lauren Boebert

So let us remember this dark chapter in our land,

And strive to reclaim the House, with truth and honor in hand.

For the future of democracy, depends on this great hall,

And we must ensure it remains, standing tall, once and for all.
