Morning, boys, how's the water? Follow @mistersalesman

As my dad would say Y'all gather around and let me tell you a story. It will change the way you see things. And that's what it's all about to being successful is seeing things differently than anyone else. You don't want to think like a visionary, you want to see what the visionary sees.

There are these two young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, "Morning, boys, how's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, "What the hell is water?"

Now for the shocking answer, I want you to read the commencement speech by David Foster Wallace for Kenyon College. But I don't want you to read it now. I've included the link in the resource section of my best seller Write Like You're Already Famous with a lot of other ideas for transforming your mind to think differently.

What's that?

You don't give damn about my book?

You want to read the water story now?

Are you sure that's a wise decision?

Okay, then, let me say this first. The point of the fish story–"This is Water", is that the most immediate, obvious, ubiquitous and important realities are often overlooked by many. I know that may sound like abstract bullshit, but it's reality for 7 billion people.

On second thought, since I don't want you thinking like the rest of the world, it's a good idea to stop and read this article now. Click here:

And if you're interested in learning how to think differently then grab a copy of my book Write Like You're Already Famous. Your mom will be so proud if you buy my book... just last week I had someone say how... oh just forget it... here's the link.
