My name is Jasmin

What's in a name, you might ask,

Well, mine is Jasmine, a flower in a flask.

And do you have a story to tell?

Yes, I do, but it's hard to quell.

Why does the future make me ache?

I longed for freedom, to make my own stake.

But the misconceptions led me astray,

To a dark industry where danger would play.

It's not what they show on screen,

There's no pleasure in a life obscene.

You feel like you're drowning,

In a world that makes you feel so small.

Workers experience physical, emotional abuse, exploitation, and trauma. It's not true everything in these industries is pleasurable. I put my heart and soul on a silver platter and it’s all wasted on the ground, sometimes I wish I wasn’t born.

I had just turned 18 and had dreams of living an independent life. I wanted to move out of my parents' house, travel the world, and experience new things. However, with limited education and work experience, finding a job that paid enough to support my dreams was a challenge.

One day, while scrolling through social media, I saw an advertisement for a job that promised quick cash and an opportunity to travel.

Intrigued, I clicked on the link and was directed to a website that advertised jobs in the adult entertainment industry. The website promised that I could earn thousands of dollars in a few days, travel to exotic locations, and live a life of luxury.

Excited by the prospect of fulfilling my dreams, I applied for the job. I was quickly accepted and was given an address to meet my employer.

When I arrived, I was taken to a dimly lit room where I met several other young women. They were given skimpy outfits and were told to dance provocatively in front of a camera.

As the days went by, I realized that what I thought was a dream job was turning into a nightmare. I was forced to work long hours, perform explicit acts on camera, and was paid a fraction of what I was promised. The employer threatened to harm me and my family if I tried to quit.

I soon realized that I was trapped in a vicious cycle of abuse and exploitation. The work was physically and emotionally draining, and I felt helpless and alone. I was ashamed to tell my family and friends about my job and suffered in silence.

One day, a kind-hearted customer sensed that something was wrong and convinced me to confide in him. With his help, I was able to escape the abusive work environment and seek help.

I learned that the reality of the adult entertainment industry was far from what was advertised, and many young women like me were being exploited and abused for the entertainment of others.

My story is not unique. Many young people fall victim to false promises and misconceptions about the adult entertainment industry.

It's important to understand that working in an illicit industry of disrepute is not pleasurable. It is extremely dangerous, and workers may experience physical, emotional abuse, exploitation, and trauma.

When harm and exploitation rear their head,

It's vital to seek help instead.

For those who suffer, don't bear the weight,

Let's break the chains of their dire fate.

But to those who traffic and exploit,

Whose actions cause so much turmoil and hurt,

The R Kellys, Epsteins, Maxwells and Weinsteins,

Your deeds have left deep, lasting stains.

So let these words ring loud and clear,

For those who prey on young girls, don't you dare,

For you, we have one message, plain and true,

"F**k you!" May justice be served, long overdue.

May you rot in jail for the crimes you've done,

For the pain, you've caused and the lives, you've undone.

Let this be a warning to all who harm,

For justice will find you and disarm.

And, now R Kelly, Jefferey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Harvey Weinstein, you have to worry about your future. F**k you! May you rot in jail. My name is Jasmine.
